If you think life would be better with a different accountant, you’re right.

Not all accountants love math. That might sound weird, but a staggering number of our competitors literally just fill in numbers and let some website do the work. That’s not our idea of great.

When I left the big firm, everyone thought I was crazy.

Numbers matter.

For as long as I can remember math was my favorite subject. Something about numbers grabbed me and they’ve never let go.

When I realized I could make a career out of working with numbers and solving math problems it seemed too good to be true.

That was 20 years ago and still feel the same way.

That doesn’t mean it was easy. When I moved here from South Africa I felt like a fish out of water. My whole life changed but one thing didn’t change a bit. My passion for numbers.

Soon I had my Masters Degree in accounting and I was off to the races. The first half of my career was spent working for big firms doing big things. Or so I thought.

My experience with big firms is that the relationship with the customer is like speaking to someone on a conveyor belt. They never stop long enough, you wish you could do more for them but you are constantly reminded that time is money.

That style of business didn’t agree with me.

Slowly I began to build a small practice. After years of saving, I was finally ready to go into business for myself, and I haven’t regretted the decision for a single minute.

Soon I realized that I couldn’t be everything to everybody. That was the thinking I left behind at the big firms and I wasn’t going back. No matter what I swore to never do business the way those big firms did even if it meant earning less.

I decided to focus on one industry.

The choice was easy because I already had a handful of medical professionals and they were steadily referring their friends and colleagues. I made the right choice.

The number of medical professionals either not set up properly, paying too much in taxes, or both is unbelievable. While it’s not a total surprise when I think of how much money is wasted every year I’m reminded that there probably isn’t a calculator with enough zeros to figure it out.

If you are a medical professional and you’re thinking of switching, let me make it easy for you. We don’t have salespeople. Nobody is on a commission. There are no magic discount codes.

Let’s begin with an invitation. If you schedule an appointment or fill out the form we won’t waste your time. We’ll see if we’re a good fit and if we think we can help we’ll tell you right then and there.

Sincerely,

Relax.
We’re not salespeople.
We’re accountants.

How about a short video?

With over 75,000 pages of tax code and billions collected by the IRS in late fees, penalties, and interest maybe it is a good time to ask yourself if you’d be happier with an accountant who’s focused.

Different by design.

We think you’d be a lot better off with an accountant who knew your industry so well that’s all they do. That’s our philosophy. It’s not earth-shattering or groundbreaking, but it works and it works very well.

Why settle?

Medical professionals like you are subject to constant training and certifications for good reason. We’re no different. We can’t help everyone, but if you’re looking for something better, we should talk.

Not all newsletters are boring.

Stay up to date with real information you can use and maybe a few jokes thrown in for good measure.
